As trees become amazing bouquets of vibrant colors, my fall events have soared; the events where I have spoken and the people I've met equal their spendor.

October 30, 2007, I traveled to Andalusia, Alabama, to speak for the Ladies' Night Out Event at FBC Andalusia.  A large group of ladies gathered to share an early supper and then move to the sanctuary where I spoke on "Laugh Often, Love Much, and Live Well."  Cathy Harry, the lady heading up the event and the one who had invited me, has told me since that she knew God sent me because the time was right.  Many of the ladies have since told her they needed the laughter and the reminder that God wants His children to be happy.  I praise God that He can use me to encourage other women.

On November 2, Steve drove me to Cullman, Alabama, where I spoke to the senior adult group there.  They call themselves the Triple G's.  Using some of the funny anecdotes from my books, I talked to them about The Importance of Humor and Laughter.  They responded well and bought many books.  Don Williamson has told me since that my "Just Say Wow" story has taught him a new way to praise God.

The Ladies Conference at Live Oak Baptist Church, Cave Springs, Georgia, was my third event of the week on November 3.  We - Steve and I - had to leave very early in the morning to get there by 8:45 EST, but the glorious driving time made it worth getting up before dawn.  As I observed the foggy mist hanging over the tree tops in the morning's breaking light, I was reminded of how the world must have looked before God even created man.  I then had an epiphany - He created all I needed before He ever made me; therefore, I realize how much he truly cares for me.  When we arrived we found the fellowship hall a show place of fall decorations and the brunch, simply delicious.  These ladies at Live Oak had covered every detail, from door prizes to great praise music, making this a spectacular event.  I first spoke on "Laugh, Love, and Live for the Lord."  After the break and signing of books, I returned for the closing session to speak on "Happiness in the Home."

Although I've traveled many miles in the last few days, I count all these opportunities as blessings from the Lord.  I thank Him and praise Him for giving me this ministry and the strength to do His bidding.
